Better height and scale

  • The new Midtown has three six-story buildings, much more in scale with Bayside and other residential districts than the original plan for four massive 14-story towers.
  • The new lower heights will keep the downtown skyline visible as the calling card to Portland’s commercial center, and preserve scenic views to Back Cove and beyond.
  • The new 400+ apartments on three-and-a-half acres are more in line with the population density and quality of living of other recent projects on the peninsula.

  • One of the two large parking garages has been eliminated, making the entire project less car-centric, and more appropriate for the future of our walkable peninsula.
